OVERVIEW
Some Kotka possess variant physical traits, such as no horns, bird features or no hair at all. These traits are known as Mutations.
Mutations are very rare in the species, and are passed genetically to offspring, as with any trait. The exceptions to this are hornless and double horns.
Some mutations have rarity tiers.
With the exception of Sphinx, all mutations may be custom drawn for the Kotka. Designs must adhere to the following guides.

Free
Hornless is a mutation that removes horns from a Kotka. The trait will still be present in the genotype, and the trait can pass onto offspring.
Hornless may present as small nubs where horns would be, or no horns at all.
Hornless is free to apply to any Kotka.

FEATHERED
Common
Common
Feathered is a common mutation that replaces a portion of a Kotka's coat with feathers.
Up to one area (click here for areas) of a Kotka may be covered in feathers. The feathers must be flat and cannot have frills or create crests.
The feathers must be a colour in the phenotype. They can show the markings in the phenotype. They may also have a slight iridescence.

Additionally, up to one trait may be replaced or covered in feathers.

AVIAN
Rare
Rare
Avian is a rare mutation that gives a Kotka bird-like traits, including a feathered coat, feathered traits, and a long, peacock-like tail. The feet of an avian Kotka may also be bird-like.

SCALED

Scaled is a common mutation that replaces a portion of a Kotka's coat with small scales.
Up to one area (click here for areas) of a Kotka may be covered in small scales. Scales must not appear as plates or have prominent ridges.
The scales must be a colour in the phenotype. They can show the markings in the phenotype. They may also have a slight iridescence or shading.

PLATED
Uncommon
Uncommon
Plated is an uncommon mutation that replaces a portion of a Kotka's coat with large, thick scales.
Up to two areas (click here for areas) of a Kotka may be covered in scales. The scales must be predominantly large, with optional smaller scales blending into the fur. The scales cannot have prominent ridges.

DRACO
Rare
Rare
Draco is a rare mutation that can cover the entirety of a Kotka's coat with scales.
Draco can present as scales covering anywhere from one area (click here for areas) , the entirety of a Kotka's coat. The scales may have prominent ridges and spines along the spine.

SPHINX
Rare
Rare
Sphinx is a rare mutation that removes all but the very finest of hair from a Kotka's coat, making them appear naked.
Sphinx Kotka may still display the suggestion of their markings in variations of their skin colour.
Most markings will appear as tones of their skin colour. Kotka skin will always be dark grey, or a desaturated, darker shade of the base coat. White markings may display as pink skin.
Sphinx Kotka have their own import for both breeds. Click here.

DOUBLE HORNS
Rarity: Unknown
Rarity: Unknown
Double horns is a mutation that makes a Kotka have two sets of horns.
A double horned Kotka will be given one set of horns from the breeding roller. The other set may be chosen from any horn trait present in their lineage.
It is currently unknown how this trait passes, or why it appears.
